Shipping & Packing Instructions

Use these guidelines to make sure every drop-off is quick, safe, and compliant.

Strip Tube Labeling

Samples must match your online order.

  • Each order receives a 7-character Order ID.
  • Tube 1 cap: last 2 Order-ID characters.
  • Every tube cap: sample number (1…N).
  • Keep strips attached; use contiguous positions.
Strip tube labeling example
Tube 1 gets the Order-ID suffix; all tubes get sample numbers.

96-Well Plate Labeling

Edge-label the plate with the full Order ID.

  • At least 48 samples per plate.
  • Use 200 µL PCR plates only.
  • Column numbering starts at col 1; row numbering starts at row A.
  • Keep wells contiguous; seal with heat seal or snug strip caps.

Do Not Make These Mistakes

  • No single 200 µL tubes unless the order has only one sample.
  • No plates with fewer than 48 samples.
  • No 1.5/0.5 mL tubes, opaque tubes, 384-well plates.
  • No sample names on tubes—use numbers only.
  • Do not send samples that aren't in the order.
  • Do not mix orders or leave gaps on strips/plates.

Final Checklist & Shipping

Do

  • Protect tubes inside a secondary container.
  • Bag samples with the order sheet (barcode visible).
  • Multiple orders can share one parcel if each has its own bag + sheet.
  • Use a padded mailer or box; ship at room temperature.
  • Remove or cover old hazard labels.

Don't

  • No thin letter envelopes.
  • No dry ice or cold packs for room-temp services.
  • Don't mix orders together in the same bag.
